500×500 is the mid square size, used mostly for marketplace listings and blog inline images. This page resizes straight to those exact pixel dimensions, so you do not have to type them in or work out the maths yourself.
How it works
- Drop in any JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF file — it stays on your device.
- The width and height are already set to 500×500.
- If your original is not 1:1, choose whether to stretch to fit or keep the proportions and pad the difference.
- Download the resized image at full quality.
Good to know
A note on proportions: 500×500 is a 1:1 frame. Feeding in a photo with a different shape means something has to give — either the image stretches, or it keeps its shape and leaves space at the edges. The preview shows which you are getting before you download.
Frequently asked questions
Will resizing to 500×500 make my image blurry?
Only if you are scaling up. Going from a larger photo down to 500×500 is lossless in perceived quality. Going from something smaller up to 500×500 stretches the pixels you already have, which softens the result — no tool can recover detail the camera never recorded.
What aspect ratio is 500×500?
500×500 works out to 1:1. If your source photo is a different shape, you will need to either crop it first or accept padding along one axis.
