How it works

Good to know
Resizing a Photo file re-encodes it, which means the compression is applied again. Going down in size usually shrinks the file considerably; going up will make it larger without adding real detail.
Frequently asked questions
Does resizing Photo lose quality?
Scaling down looks clean because you are discarding pixels you no longer need. Scaling up cannot add information, so a Photo enlarged well beyond its original size will look soft.
Can I resize several Photo files at once?
Yes — select as many Photo files as you like and the same dimensions are applied to all of them.
