Conversie finalizată

-

Change an image from one format to another — JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF and BMP in any combination. Which format to use is mostly settled by two questions: does the image need a transparent background, and is it a photograph or a graphic. Pick the target format and the conversion happens in your browser, with no upload and no file-size ceiling imposed by a server.

How it works

  1. Drop in one file or a batch — mixed input formats are fine.
  2. Choose the output format.
  3. Set a quality level if you are converting to JPG, WebP or AVIF. PNG and BMP are lossless and have no quality setting.
  4. Download the converted files, or take the whole batch as a ZIP.

Good to know

The short version of which format to pick: PNG for anything needing transparency, and for screenshots, logos and line art where hard edges must stay crisp. JPG for photographs, where it is the most widely supported option and the file sizes are reasonable. WebP for photographs on the web, typically 25–35% smaller than the same JPG at matching quality, and supported by every current browser. AVIF for smaller again, though it encodes slowly and older software may not open it. One thing to watch: converting a PNG with transparency to JPG does not keep the transparency, because JPG has no way to store it — the transparent areas become solid white.

Frequently asked questions

Does converting PNG to JPG lose quality?

Some, because JPG is a lossy format. For a photograph the loss at high quality is not visible. For a screenshot or a logo it can be, which is a reason to keep those as PNG.

Which is better, WebP or JPG?

WebP is smaller at the same visible quality and every current browser supports it. JPG is the safer choice when the file will be opened by older software or sent to someone who will edit it.

Will my transparent background survive?

Only if the target format supports transparency. PNG, WebP and AVIF keep it; JPG and BMP cannot, and the transparent area is filled with white instead.

Can I convert many files at once?

Yes. Drop in a mixed batch, choose one output format, and they are all converted and offered as a single ZIP.
