Watermark added

Put your name, handle or copyright line across a photo so it stays attributed wherever it travels. You control the text, its size, its opacity, its colour and where it sits, and you can tile it across the whole image rather than placing it in one corner. All of it happens in your browser, so unpublished work is not uploaded anywhere in order to be marked.

How it works

  1. Drop in one image or a whole batch.
  2. Type your watermark text — a name, a handle, a site address or a copyright line.
  3. Set the position, size, rotation and opacity. Somewhere between 30% and 50% opacity is usually visible without burying the picture.
  4. Download the watermarked images, or the batch as a ZIP.

Good to know

A watermark in one corner is easy to crop off, which is fine if the aim is attribution for honest users and not much more. If the aim is to make the image hard to reuse, a large semi-transparent mark across the middle, or the text tiled diagonally over the whole frame, is far harder to remove without visibly damaging the picture. There is a real trade-off and no setting avoids it: the more effectively a watermark protects the image, the more it gets in the way of looking at it. For a portfolio, the usual compromise is a modest mark placed over a busy part of the picture rather than over empty sky, where it is harder to paint out cleanly.

Frequently asked questions

Can I watermark many photos at once?

Yes. Drop in a batch and the same watermark settings are applied to every file, then handed back as a ZIP.

Can I use my logo instead of text?

The text watermark is what this page does. For a logo, convert it to a PNG with a transparent background first and the image overlay option will place it.

What opacity should I use?

Around 30–50% is the usual range: clearly legible, but not so solid that it dominates the photo. Go higher if the aim is deterrence rather than credit.

Does the watermark get stored in the file permanently?

Yes — it is drawn into the pixels, so it travels with the image and survives being copied, re-saved or re-uploaded.
